BOS Marine was created to meet the demand for qualified, reliable marine repairs on the North Island. From outboards and gasoline and diesel inboards to electrical systems, repowers, diagnostics, and maintenance, our team brings the experience and hands-on knowledge to tackle just about anything that comes through the door — or keeps us travelling to the dock.

OWNERS
Buddy and Skye are proud North Island locals. Buddy brings over a decade of marine repair experience and full certification in inboard and outboard systems, while Skye keeps the business moving behind the scenes, managing operations, parts, bookkeeping and administration.
BOS Marine is a family-owned and operated shop built on hard work, community trust, and showing up for the people who matter most. When we recognized the need for reliable inboard repairs in the Tri-Port area, we stepped in to fill that gap. What started as meeting a local need quickly became a trusted hub for sales and service. Today, we proudly employ local technicians and provide honest, efficient, and dependable marine repairs across the North Island.
We work hard so we can support our kids, our families, and the town we’re proud to call home. Port Hardy isn’t just where we work; it’s our community. We believe in doing things the right way, being honest even when it’s not the easy option, showing up when we say we will, and keeping a sense of humour along the way.
Boats break, days get long, and sometimes the fix takes a little creativity, but we’ll always be straight with you.
If you stop by the shop, you’ll probably hear some sweet tunes playing while we get our hands dirty. You might also spot Rodney, our beloved motor mascot and unofficial shop legend, repping BOS Marine on our merch and keeping morale high. Around here, we take our work seriously but never ourselves. Patrick
Patrick is a marine technician currently completing the final stages of his apprenticeship. He has a knack for the weird jobs, with a strong eye for efficient setups and a talent for finding practical solutions to complex or unusual projects. Whether he’s tackling a custom build or something a little outside the ordinary, Patrick is always looking for the best way to get the job done right.
Mike
Mike brings 10 years of ticketed experience as a marine technician to the BOS Marine team. He has extensive hands-on experience working with both gasoline and diesel marine engines, along with a strong background in complex and detailed repairs. His practical knowledge, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills make him a valuable asset to our crew.
